How to convert images to PDF

  1. Select your images

Choose up to 30 JPG, PNG, WebP or HEIC images, 200 MB in total. You can add more later.

  2. Arrange the order

Drag the images, or use the arrow buttons, so they're in page order. Remove any you don't need.

  3. Choose PDF settings

Pick A4, Letter or pages the size of each image, the orientation and the margin.

  4. Create and download

Create the PDF, one image per page, and download it. Nothing is uploaded.

Choosing the page size

A4 (210 × 297 mm) is the standard paper size in most countries. Letter (8.5 × 11 inches) is used in the United States and Canada. Pick the one you'll print on or that a form asks for. With Same as image, each page is exactly the size of its image, which suits screenshots and photos you won't print.

Every image is fitted inside its page and centred, without cropping or stretching. With Auto orientation, portrait photos get portrait pages and landscape photos get landscape pages.

Made in your browser

Your images are processed in your browser and aren't uploaded to Pixyro to create the PDF. JPG photos are placed in the PDF without being recompressed, and their location and camera details are removed. If you add HEIC photos, your browser downloads Pixyro's HEIC decoder the first time, then reads them on your device.

Before you create your PDF

  • Use the Image Compressor to make large photos smaller before adding them, for a smaller PDF.
  • Use the Image Cropper to cut away the edges of a photographed document.
  • Use the Image Resizer to scale images down to the size you need.
  • Use the HEIC to JPG to convert iPhone photos to JPG files instead of a PDF.

Frequently asked questions

Can I convert multiple images to one PDF?

Yes. Add up to 30 images and they become one PDF, with one image per page in the order you set.

What image formats are supported?

JPG (JPEG), PNG, WebP and HEIC. You can mix formats in the same PDF.

Can I convert iPhone HEIC photos to PDF?

Yes. Add HEIC photos like any other image. The first time you add one, your browser downloads Pixyro's HEIC decoder (about 400 KB), which then reads the photo on your device.

Are my images uploaded?

No. Your images are processed in your browser and aren't uploaded to Pixyro to create the PDF. The PDF is made on your device.

How many images can I add, and how big can they be?

Up to 30 images per PDF, adding up to 200 MB at most. Each image can be up to 50 MB and 100 megapixels. For more images, make more than one PDF.

Can I choose A4 or Letter pages?

Yes. Choose A4 (the default), Letter, or pages the same size as each image. Orientation can follow each image automatically or be set to portrait or landscape, and the margin can be none, small (0.5 inch) or large (1 inch).

Does the tool reduce image quality?

JPG images are added to the PDF unchanged, so they keep their exact quality. PNG, WebP and HEIC images are converted to high-quality JPG, and very large ones are scaled to at most 4,000 pixels on their longest side, which is still sharp enough to print on A4.

What happens to transparent areas in PNG images?

They appear white, like the page they're on.

Is photo location or camera information kept?

No. Location (GPS), camera details and other metadata in JPG images are removed, and the PDF itself contains no metadata or file names.

Does it work on iPhone and in Safari?

It's designed for up-to-date Safari on iPhone, iPad and Mac, as well as Chrome, Edge and Firefox, and it's tested with Safari's browser engine. Phones have less memory than computers, so if a PDF with many large photos fails, try fewer images at a time.
